Parent’s Information

At Fleur de Lys we value your involvement and feedback as your child’s first educator. We are here to ensure we support the whole family and your child, giving appropriate advice and guidance where necessary, to promote the best outcomes for your child’s overall development and well-being.

Government funding

We promise to keep your child’s funding hours free for you. We charge no daily charge or extra weekly fee. You are able to purchase additional services if you wish, i.e. a 2 course home cooked lunch, an earlier drop off (from 7.30am) or for your child to stay with us and have tea (till 5.30pm). However if you just require the hours covered by funding and bring a packed lunch you will pay absolutely nothing!

Food at Fleur

All of our meals and snacks are lovingly prepared on site and we can cater for children with allergies. We know that the food your child eats in their early years can influence their dietary habits later in life, so we try and instil good habits and a healthy relationship with food from an early age.

Our menus are healthy, varied and make use of seasonal ingredients and will provide your child with what the nutrients they need to grow. We always have fresh water for your child to drink throughout the day and milk at snack times.

Your child’s needs

At Fleur we have had many years of experience tailoring our early Years experience to meet the needs of individual children, whether their needs be medical, learning, social or physical. So please talk to us in person about how we can do make your child’s early years as safe, memorable and educational as possible.

Our settling in process

At Fleur we know it can be a difficult time for a child and their family when they start a new nursery. At Fleur we offer 3 hours of settling visits that can be taken in a way to suit yours and your child’s needs. During these visits there will be time for you and your child to get to know the environment they will be spending time in, their key person and our staff. Please speak to us when you come and look around about how we can best tailor this for you.
